The Resolute 710 One Wash is the flagship model of Yoshiyuki Hayashi’s denim line, inspired by the iconic Levi’s 501 “66” cut from the late 1960s and reimagined with a modern slim-straight silhouette and slightly higher rise for a clean, timeless profile that flatters a wide range of body types. Made from 14oz Japanese selvedge denim woven at Shinya Mills in Okayama on vintage shuttle looms, the fabric features a tight weave with a distinctive bronze selvedge ID and a one-wash finish that softens the texture while preserving its deep indigo tone.
Construction takes place in Niimi using traditional Union Special machines, with meticulous details including a five-button fly with custom branded metal buttons, hidden back pocket rivets, durable bartack reinforcement, a minimalist paper patch with red Resolute branding, and contrast cotton stitching in a warm bronze tone. The pocket bags are made of sturdy cotton twill, and the denim’s one-wash treatment means it arrives ready to wear with minimal future shrinkage. Entirely made in Japan from yarn dyeing to final assembly, the 710 embodies Hayashi’s philosophy of simplicity, fit, and long-lasting quality.
Fit Notes: Like many other Resolute jeans, the 710 runs quite small in its one-wash version. We generally recommend choosing two sizes up from your usual. However, we always suggest consulting the size chart to find your perfect fit. The fabric is unsanforized but the jeans have been one-washed, so no further shrinkage is expected.
